William Ira (Buddy) Silver passed away at 1:45 AM on January 9, 2021 at IU Health Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on March 16, 1948 to the late Jewel Pittman and Samuel Silver in Towns, GA.
William was an avid bingo player and loved his grandchildren and grand doggies. He retired from City Bus in Lafayette, IN where he worked as a bus driver. In 1967 he married the late Nancy Dukes with whom he spent 44 wonderful years with.
William is survived by daughters Patty (Todd) Vandermay of Lafayette, and Cheryl (Max) Habbinga of Lafayette. He is also survived by sister Elaine (Dick) of GA as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Betty Crenshaw, brother David Silver, Grandson William Hall, and Son-in-law Max Habbinga.
Services will be held on January 16th, 2021 at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel of Faith with visitation from 9:30 AM to10:30 AM services at 10:30 AM.
