Mary Ann Hogue

Mary Ann Hogue, 68 of Marion, passed away at 6:40 am Saturday September 9,2023 at Lutheran
Hospital Ft. Wayne. She was born March 6,1955 in Portland, IN to the late John and Francine Payne
Huffaker. Mary Ann was a homemaker who loved to write and drawing, quilting, gardening, exercising
and doing Bible lessons. She was a giver, having donated generously to Riley Hospital for Children, St.
Christopher’s and animal shelters. She loved her family and enjoyed teaching them life lessons and
spiritual ones.
She is survived by her children Shawn Hogue of Marion, James Hogue of Marion, Shauna Hogue of
Marion, Mary Elaine Hogue Spivey (Joe Spivey) of Marion, grandchildren Brandon and Ariana VanDiver
(Hogue), Ericka Hogue, Olivia, Jamon, and Jalissa Hogue, Jonathan Hogue, Aric McClung, Alexus Hogue,
great-grandchildren Bently Hogue, Kalani Hogue, Milo, Mateo, Iris Hope, Jonathan Hogue Jr, and
Kingston Ali McClung, sisters Dohah Dorsey of Marion, Sheila Huffaker of Marion, Paula Gentner of
Marion and a brother John Edward Huffaker of NC. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by granddaughters Shayla and Sierra.
Funeral services will be in Serenity Chapel at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion at 2pm Wednesday
September 13,2023 with Pastor Andrew Morrell officiating. Friends may call from noon until the time of
services at the cemetery chapel.
