Uncle Muff was such a great guy, always smiling and had a good story to tell. Living in Pa. we didn’t get to see him and Norma very often, but had great visits when they came. Heart felt condolences to Norma, Tom, and Terri during this time. You are all in our players for comfort and guidance. We love you all !!❤❤

Marshall Wayne Morton, 93, of Lafayette, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Mulberry Health Care in Mulberry, Indiana. Marshall was born on January 1, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Vernon Wayne and
Teckla Margreta (Johnson) Morton. Marshall has lived in Lafayette, Indiana for 50 years and served in the United States Air Force based in Texas and New York. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s

Degree in Administration. Marshall met and married the love of his life, Norma L. (Edwards) Morton in 1952 and the two were together for 71 years. Marshall was an avid history buff and some of the family’s fondest memories revolve around trips to historic sites across the United States. In addition to travel he enjoyed all kinds of sports, fishing with his grandsons, and was an ardent baseball fan. As a child living in Chicago, he used to run the bases at Wrigley Field.

Marshall retired from IBM where he was an Administrative Manager for over 30 years. Working at IBM he and his family moved around quite a bit, at one time landing in Nashville, TN where he became a Junior Achievement
Advisor to help young people prepare for their futures and a life of success and achievement. He continued that good work after moving to Indiana.

In his retirement he kept busy as an H&R Block tax preparer and he and Norma worked together at A-Storage Inn as Relief Managers. He was a longstanding member of the Elks, Eagles, American Legion and member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

Marshall was an active member of his community and an outgoing person who loved visiting with family and friends. He was naturally curious and inquisitive, and his intelligence drove him throughout all his pursuits. You couldn’t meet Marshall and not be aware of his big smile, vibrancy and genuine heart. You knew you were meeting someone both sincere in his thoughts and kind to those around him. He was certainly passionate about many things in his life, but above all, he embraced the love for his wife, kids and grandkids with his whole heart, and they were the brightest lights of his life. He will forever be loved and missed.

Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Norma L. Morton, son, Thomas Morton and wife Kendra, daughter, Terri Platt and husband Tim; grandsons Greg Morton and wife Danielle, Lucas Morton and wife Melany, Scott Platt
and Christopher Platt. Great grandkids Jacob Morton, Liam Morton, and Raelynn Morton; grandpuppy Pippa.

A visitation of family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 3631 Morehouse, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 31st at 12:00 PM at Trinity United Methodist Church, 509 North Street, Lafayette, Indiana 47901. Marshall’s place of rest will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family welcomes flowers, but you are also invited to make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association in Marshall’s name.
