John P. Rodriguez, 87, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on January 21, 2024, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. He was born on January 27, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Francisco and Martha (Padillia) Rodriguez. John retired from WireMaster from Chicago, Illinois. He served his Country proudly in the United States Army. John loved to bowl and was a very talented artist and painter and loved spending time with his friends at Friendship House. He will be greatly missed as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and very dear friend. John is survived by his son, John (Shirley) Rodriguez, daughters; Melissa Rodriguez and Anna Rodriguez, 8 grandchildren: Abby Rodriguez, Brittany (Trevor) Thompson, Tiffany (Spencer) Grizard, Tyler (Ashley) Rodriguez, Alec Rodriguez, Waylon Rodriguez, Jordon Rodriguez, Harper Rodriguez, Jonathan Pagan, and Joshua Rodriguez. Nephews Tom (Linda) Chavez, Frank Chavez and Niece Laura Ryan.
A gathering of family and friends for John is scheduled for Saturday, January 27 th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3631 Morehouse, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately following his gathering beginning at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to A Living Tribute at alivingtribute.org.
