Helen Sophie Fuller, 92 of West Lafayette, passed away at 8:50 am on Sunday June 11,2023 at St. Marys Healthcare Center in Lafayette. She was born April 20,1931 at Jesiory, Poland to the late Peter W and Hedwig Gubarewicz Steinwald. Her marriage was September 6,1952 to Elias Earl Fuller Sr, and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2019. Helen was a nurse in obstetrics at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years and after retiring she worked as a clerk at Target into her 80s. Helen enjoyed working in ceramics, loved music and animals, she was a compassionate neighbor sharing holidays with family and friends, so no one was alone on the holidays.
Helen is survived by her children George L. (Angie) Fuller of Henderson, NV, Mary E. (Mac) Stair of Lafayette, Gloria L. (Tony) Kidder of Hartford, AR, Darlene M. Fuller of West Lafayette, grandchildren Diena M. (Keith) Spalding, J. Michael (Jill) Stair, David Stair, Preston (Michelle) Sanders, Melanie D. (Scott) Tudor, Amanda Haith, Eva Fuller and Danny Stalnaker. Great-grandchildren Sarah Spalding, Joey Stair, Alan Stair, Hunter Sanders, Dakota Sanders, Eden Gugman, Brooklyn Alesia, Grayson Alesia, and Ziad Abdelbary, Bria Tudor, Lucas Tudor. She is also surived by a brother Walter A, Steinwald and a niece Noelle Chalmers. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Theresa Olson and Broni Davidson, her sons Elias E. Fuller Jr, and Jerry L. Fuller, and granddaughter Katie Rugaard.
Funeral services will be at 1pm on Thursday June 15,2023 in the Chapel of Faith at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, IN. Friends may call from noon until the time of services at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
