Esther Jane Faurote, 86, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on June 11, 2023, at The Springs of Lafayette. Born March 5, 1937 to the late Hershel Curtis Myers and Lela Mae Pearson and step father Ivan Linback in Okley, Indiana. Esther married Frank G. Faurote on March 29, 1963 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2007. Esther was many things to her family. Not only was she a mom, but in her children’s younger years she was a chef, a homemaker, a nurse, a teacher and our best friend. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, yard sales, all Purdue sports, and family holiday gatherings. But most of all, she enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Surviving are her children Thomas (Lisa) Parker, Todd Parker, Earl (Laura) Faurote, Colleen Jaskal, James E. (Rhonda) Faurote, Tiffany (Mitch), Daniel’s and step daughter Deirdra (Mike) Cox. Also surviving are her brother John (Judy) Myers, a sister Carolyn Hinote, her brother in law, Melvin Dexter and companion Leah Kleeman, 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her brothers Bill, Wayne, Jerry and Glen Myers, 2 sisters, Mary Jo Ortman and Velma Manis, a granddaughter, Maddisann Jayne Faurote and her son in law, Thomas Jaskal. A visitation for Esther is scheduled for Friday, June 16, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services, 3631 Morehouse, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. Esther’s funeral services will immediately follow her visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, with her place of rest at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family wants to express their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of The Springs of Lafayette for taking such good care of Esther. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Buck Creek United Methodist Church, the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department or the Almost Home Humane Society.
