Elizabeth June Coy, 91 of Brooks, KY, formerly of Battle Ground, passed away unexpectedly at 10:17 pm Thursday August 2nd, 2018 at Audobon Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born September 15,1926 at Lafayette, the daughter of George W. and Mary Ethel Guntrip Osborn. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jeff High School. On March 24,1945 in Lafayette she married Raymond L. Coy and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1978. June worked at Purdue University, West Lafayette School Corporation and was a cook at the Indiana Veteran’s Home. She was a member of the former EUB Christian Church. June enjoyed playing games, cards and doing puzzles, she also enjoyed country music, watching sports and was an avid Purdue fan.
Surviving are her daughter Ramona (Sue) Grant, grandchildren Robert and Christie Turbeville and great-grandchildren Grant and Gabbie with whom she made her home in Brooks, KY. Also surviving is her daughter Marilyn Cripe of Fowler, IN 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Carolyn Coy Hall and two sisters Helen Marie Lemen and Georgia Ann Coy.
Funeral services will be in the Main Chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens on Tuesday August 7th at 12 noon. Friends may call at the chapel from 11am until the time of services. The family requests memorial contributions to your favorite Charity.
