Dean Robert Farrell, 79 of Lafayette passed away Friday at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette at 1:07pm. He was born in Lafayette on May 3,1939, the son of the late Leonard J. and Rosalie E. Gick Farrell. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School. His marriage was to Barbara Felix and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2018. Dean was employed at Purdue University as a member of the janitorial staff. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He and Barb loved to travel and took trips all over the country.
Surviving are a daughter Lori (Christie) Cooper of MI, a daughter Anita Farrell of Lafayette, a son Kelly Farrell of Lafayette, a daughter Lana Farrell-Dixon of Lafayette, stepson Chris (Lynessa) DeVries of Lafayette, stepdaughter Catrina DeVries of Lafayette, grandchildren Tony (Nga) Clevinger, Dusty (Mark) Clevinger, Levi Farrell, Sequoyah Farrell, Katelyn Mathers, Taylor Mathers, Lyndsea DeVries, Gracelyn DeVries, Jacob DeVries, and Jessica Dixon and a sister Karen Rodgers of Goodland. He was preceded in death by his brother Ron Farrell.
Funeral services will be at 1pm Monday August 20th in the Chapel of Faith at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with Chaplain Rick Fay officiating entombment will follow. Friends may call at the Chapel of Faith Monday from noon until the time of service.
