Dean Allen Sturgeon, 75, of Otterbein passed away Sunday afternoon on August 6, 2023 at Franciscan Health East Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born September 6, 1947 in Lafayette to the late Leo and Marie Nelson Sturgeon. He was a graduate of Montmorenci High School. Dean was a Crane Operator for Alcoa in Lafayette for 43 years. He was a hard worker who liked to keep busy.
He married Rosezanna (Kyle) Stephenson on September 4, 1976. Dean is survived in death by his wife, Rosezanna. Also surviving are his children, Thomas (Annette) Stephenson of Helmetta, NJ; Melissa (Bradley) Wagner of Lusk, WY; Tracy (Kevin) Hafner of Rock Springs, WY; David (Laurie) Sturgeon or Dubuque, IA. Dean is also survived by his grandchildren Morgan, Devin, Peyton, James, Benjamin, Bailey, Elijah, Carrie, Konner, Kia, Gunnar, Landon, Aiden, and Laney, great-grandchildren Paisley and Ady. Dean was preceded in death by his son James Stephenson, his grandson Samuel Wagner, and his brother and sister.
Friends may call from 11am until the time of services at Noon on Thursday August 10, 2023 in the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Private burial will follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, IN.
