Loren Alan Lancaster, 74 of rural Frankfort passed away at home at 12:27 am Wednesday July 26,2023. He was born September 24,1948 in Lafayette to the late Floyd F. and Patricia Stone Lancaster. Loren was a 1967 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and a member of the High School Baseball Hall of Fame. He attended Indiana State University. Loren also served with the US Air Force in Viet Nam.

He enjoyed western movies, camping, poker nights with the guys, watching baseball and Purdue sports. Loren was a dog rescuer and loved his pets. His most favorite activity was to go camping on his beloved Lancaster mountain in Kentucky.

On December 28,1992 in Frankfort, he married Helen S. Vass and she survives. Also surviving are his children Brett Lancaster of Lafayette, Chris (Holly) Lancaster of Paris, IL, Melissa (Jason) Moore of Kirklin, Bill (Virginia) Scott of Kirklin, eleven grandchildren, one great-grandchild with two more expected soon.

He is also survived by his sister Roxanne Lancaster (Bob) of the Chicago, IL vicinity. He was preceded in death by a brother Ray Lancaster and one grandson.
