Shelena Rae Gayler, 21 formerly of Lafayette, died unexpectedly at her home in Leesville, LA on October 20th. She was born in Lafayette on December 25,1996 to Michael Gayler and Carrie Campbell. She attended school in Lafayette and had taken some college courses. She served in the US Army. Shelena enjoyed, hiking, swimming and she loved animals. She was a friend to everyone she met.
Surviving are her father Michael of Monon, her mother Carrie and stepfather Michael Trent of Lafayette, her grandparents Gary and Sandra Gayler of West Point, Donna McGowan of West Lafayette, Jerry Campbell of Lafayette and her great grandmother Donna McCall of Idaville, a brother Hunter Gayler of Monon and sisters Keela Trent of Lafayette and Destiny Trent of Frankfort , five aunts and one uncle and several cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be a 2pm Wednesday October 31st in the Chapel of Faith at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, friends may call from noon until the time of services. Bural will be in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. TMG Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
