Robert Joseph Soldati

January 9, 1937-December 19, 2023

Robert Joseph Soldati left this world peacefully and went to be with the Lord on December 19th, 2023. He was surrounded by family and friends at the age of 86.

Robert or Bob, as most knew him, was born in Petaluma, CA on January 9th, 1937. He grew up in Bloomfield, CA and would later attend Tomales HS where he was an exceptional athlete excelling in all sports. His competitiveness and will to win fueled his athletic success. He received football scholarship offers from local schools but made the decision to decline and stay close to his home and family.  Bob served 6 years in the National Guard before a 42 year career as a CDL Truckdriver. At the age of 32 he married Carol Luccessi and had 3 sons (Brent, Angelo and Adam).

Bob and wife Carol moved to Sonoma, CA in 1968 to began a family. He was a part of the Sonoma Valley community for nearly 50 years. He easily built relationships with everyone with his infectious smile and friendly, vivacious personality and genuine empathy. He was a dependable and very committed man to his work and family. He had a strong work ethic consistently working 60+hour weeks and never said no to playing catch and he faithfully attended every practice or game for his boys. He loved coaching, playing, watching and debating sports. He was deeply passionate about his San Francisco 49ers and Giants as well as the Golden State Warriors. Lastly, and most importantly, Bob’s faith was in Jesus and was a selfless servant who served his community and others his whole life.

Bob was proceeded in death by his wife Carol, parents Hilda and Alfred Soldati, sister Doris Bynum(Warren), brothers Ralph Soldati, Jimmy Soldati and Alfred Soldati(Armeda).

Robert is survived by his 3 sons: Brent Soldati(Deborah) Angelo Soldati(Kristy) and Adam Soldati(Kimiko), his ten grandchildren: Isabella, Joseph, Blake, Isaac, Ariella, Maiya, Alisia, Emiko, Rylie and Noah and many nieces and nephews.

Bob will forever live in our hearts and minds. He left an undeniable impression on all who knew him and will never ever be forgotten. God Bless Robert and may his soul rest in eternal peace

A Celebration of Life will be held next year in Sonoma, California as his ashes will be placed next to his wife Carol Soldati. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
