Richard A. Wells, 62, passed away on February 14, 2022, in Marion, Indiana. He was born on March 20th, 1959, to the late Fred L. Wells and Jeanette Stetzel Wells in FT Wayne, Indiana. Richard married Mary B. Reagan on October 26, 1984. He retired from Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glass workers Local 1165 in September 2016 after an injury. Richard loved, working in his yard and garden, barbequing and grilling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Richard was also a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the Washington Volunteer Fire Dept. for 31 years in Marion, Indiana.
Richard is survived by his wife, Mary, Marion; son, Chad Jenkins, Marion; brother, Fred A. Wells, Marion; brother, Chris (Maureen) Bishop, Denver, Indiana, and adopted son, Jason Whitaker (Alisha) Whitaker; grandchildren, Jasmine (Mark Contreras) Jenkins, Elijah Jenkins, Ashton Jenkins, all of Marion; Sophia, Eli and Addie Whitaker all of Marion. Great Grandchildren; Javier Contreras and Wrenleigh Contreras, Marion, and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Jeanette Wells, sister Doris M. Hall and great-grandson, Alonzo Contreras.
At Richard’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
