Martha A. Hinkle

Martha A. Hinkle, a retired business owner, died expectantly, on October 5, 2023, at the age of 80.
Martha is survived by her children Larry (wife, Patty) Hinkle, Jerry (wife, Janna), Peggy (husband, Chris) Erwin, Becky Rogers, Terri Waymire, Ruth (husband, Manuel) Garcia, Barb Haskins (sister), (15) Grandkids and (27) Great Grandkids.
Martha was born the daughter of Glenn and Eleanor Haskins on July 31 st , 1943.
She graduated from Danville High School. She married the love of her life, Dale Hinkle on December 10, 1969. Combining their lives and commonly calling their lives, “his, mine and ours”, but all the children were hers at heart.
Dale and Martha owned H & H Septic Service for many years. After selling the business, and retiring a peaceful life. They “adopted” many children in their lives as they never knew a stranger. They held many get togethers throughout the years where everyone was welcomed as family. After Dale’s passing, she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She was the most loveable person whom everyone either referred to her as “Mom” or “Grandma”.
She was an avid animal lover. She enjoyed riding horses and was a barrel rider as a young adult and competed in many competitions. She would later own a skunk and several dogs throughout her life but still remained a farm girl at heart.
A Graveside service for Martha is scheduled for Wednesday, October 11 th, 2023 at 12:00 PM Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 1200 Sagamore Parkway North, Lafayette, Indiana 47904.
A Celebration of Life will be directly after the funeral services and all are welcome to attend. It will be held from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 3107 Olympia Drive., Lafayette, Indiana 47909.
