John D. Weston, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at University Place in West Lafayette. He was born on September 19, 1940 in Chalmers, Indiana to the late Marcus and Cynthia (Wooldridge) Weston.
On June 10, 1962, John married Sherrell Ratcliff in Delphi and she preceded him in death on February 23, 1990. John then married Anita Boas and she survives.
John retired from Alcoa after 30 years in September, 1990. His greatest hobby was golf.
Surviving along with his wife are his children Stacia Weston of Tennessee, Rob (Jennifer) Weston of Lafayette and Todd (Kim) Weston of West Lafayette. Also surviving are three step-children David (Judy) Boas of Texas, Chad (Denise) Boas of Lafayette and Allison Roberts of West Lafayette. John is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. John has two brothers Larry (Sue) Weston and Gary (Marica) Weston and they survive. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Louise Sales, Geraldine Delp, Mary Chilcott, Verne Blount, and Loretta DeBoy.
Visitation will be from 10 am-noon on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel 3631 Morehouse Road, West Lafayette, with the funeral immediately following, Internment will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Lafayette immediately after. There will be a meal following internment at Faith North End, 2000 Elmwood Avenue, Lafayette. All are welcome to attend.
