Janet K. Hill

Janet K. Hill, 80 of Dayton passed away at home surrounded by
family at 3:40 am on Wednesday September 28, 2022.
She was born March 16,1942 in Tippecanoe County to the late Wiley
Keith and Alta Mae West Brummett.
Janet was employed with Tippecanoe County, having worked in the
Recorder’s, Auditors and Treasurer’s Offices for over 30 years.  On
August 21,1977 she married James E. Hill, and he preceded her in
death on April 21, 2001.  Janet enjoyed country dancing, traveling and
she was an avid fan of Purdue Basketball and the Indianapolis Colts.
She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by daughters Tina (Jimmy) Darling of Dayton, Tracy
(Craig) Moore of Lafayette, a son Gordon (Martha) Helms of Lafayette,
grandchildren Amber Darling, Amber Phillips, Ashley Florian, Shelby
Darling, Emalie Moore, Mitchel Moore, Kalin Moore, and Jennifer Kline,
7 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandsons. Also surviving are
a brother Larry Brummett of West Point and a sister Sharon Brost of
Templeton, IN.  She was preceded in death by a brother Dennis
Brummett.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday October 4, 2022 at the funeral
chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the
chapel from 10am until the time of services.  Entombment will follow in
Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
Memorial contributions in memory of Janet may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Association.
