James (Jim) Edward Bradley, 85, passed away on July 15, 2023, at his residence in Lafayette, Indiana after a brief battle with cancer, he was surrounded by his beloved family. He was born on December 28, 1937, in Lafayette, to the late John Edward Bradley and Laura Jean (Miley) Bradley. He graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1956 and then enlisted in the United States Navy. After proudly serving his Country, he married the late Linda Carte Bradley on December 31 st , 1960 and they enjoyed 60 years together. Jim worked at Rea Magnet Wire as a maintenance mechanic and retired after 42 years. Jim and Linda loved to travel and especially enjoyed cruises. Jim’s greatest pride was his family; the Bradley home welcomed everyone, and treated each person as if they were family. So many were blessed to have joined the Bradley household on Sunday’s for their large family gathering. Jim will be greatly missed as a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters; Jill Kendrick, Jamie (Brad) Mills, Janella (Steve) Riley, all of Lafayette, 10 grandchildren; Erica (Evan) Bellamy, Blake (Lauren) Kendrick, Jessica Gick (Bart), Jenna (Brian) Karle, Julia (Ben) Wiley, Josie Jones (Daniel), Kyle (Audrey) Mills, Chad (Kylee) Mills, Nicholas Riley and Anna Riley, and 15 great grandchildren; Lumen, Ellie, Cooper, Cord, Parker, James, Charlotte, Rhett, Trey, Jackson, Madison, Carson, Zoey, Graham, Gavin and one on the way-Juniper. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife Linda, daughter Jackie (John) Jones and brother Jack Bradley. The Bradley girls would like to thank all of the medical staff who assisted and cared for their dad. Visitation for Jim will be Wednesday, July 19 th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services, 3631 Morehouse, West Lafayette, IN, 47906. Funeral services will be held the following day on Thursday, July 20 th at 10:30 AM with a half an hour gathering 30 minutes prior to his services at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. He will be placed to rest at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with the United States Navy performing Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim’s memory to the Disabled Veterans (DAV) at PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
