James Malcolm Loveless, son of RubyAnn and Donald Loveless, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 26, 2022 at the IU Med Center in Lafayette, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph, mother, father, grandson Derik James, brother Randy, brother-in-law Dave Stevenson, nephews: Dave Stevenson and Davie Michener. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, daughter, Lisa (Jared) Cramer, granddaughter, Bella, and three devoted sisters, Rosezell (David) Stevenson, Margaret (Mel) Raake, Donna (Dave) Michener, five nieces, five nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

 

He was born in Hammond, Indiana November 13, 1947 and lived most of his childhood around Lowell, Indiana. He had been a member of the Cook Community Bible Church. He graduated from Lowell High School in 1965. He married Diana Schutz in 1967. Jim served his country in the United States Air Force stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi. After serving his military tour, he worked for IBM repairing typewriters until he started his own typewriter, computer repair company, Twin Office Products.

 

Soon after he married Theresa. They moved to Tennessee in 1989 where he purchased 80 acres which also contained a cave. He spent many happy hours exploring and looking for the “Confederate gold”. While in Tennessee he authored 2 books. In 2018 he sold his beloved cave and moved to West Lafayette, Indiana to be close to his daughter and granddaughter His health declined and was moved to the Veteran’s Home in West Lafayette, IN. In July of 2021. He will be interred in the Indiana Veteran’s Home Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on September 28, 2022 at approximately 3pm at Elmwood Church of Christ in Lafayette, IN.
