Stanley Michael Roberts, Sr., 74, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024. Stan was born on March 17, 1949 in Raleigh, North Carolina to the late William Alfred and Thelma Sue (Reece) Roberts and he was one of six children. Stanley served his Country proudly in the American States Army. He met and married the love of his life, Kathleen Marie Grady on March 1 st , 1973. They shared 51 wonderful years of marriage together. Stanley worked at Fairfield Manufacturing for several years. Stanley loved to tinker in his garage. With a little bit of time, he could fix pretty much anything that was broken. He enjoyed working on his cars as well as fixing his kids cars, watching NASCAR and wrestling with a passion as well as giving a gentle teasing to Kathleen and the kids and telling “Dad” jokes. He will be greatly missed as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend. Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Marie Roberts of Lafayette, daughter Charity Roberts with her companion

Matt Payne of Lafayette, daughter Wendy Deis (Mike) of Galveston, Indiana, daughter Heather Helm (Greg) of New Richmond, Indiana, son Stanley Michael Roberts, Jr., (Shasta) of Cannelton, Indiana and Matthew Roberts (Corine) also of Lafayette, Indiana. Sister Angie Roberts, brothers; Terry Roberts, Billy Roberts and Brian Walton, seventeen grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles Roberts and sister Sharon Roberts.

A gathering of friends and family for Stanley is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services, 3631 Morehouse Road, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. A celebration of life memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home chapel at 3:00 PM with the United States Army and American Legion Post #492 performing Military Honors.
