Richard Franklin Balser, 67, of Battleground, Indiana, passed away June 8, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born August 9, 1955 to Junior F. and Marilyn J Clark Balser. Richard was an avid NASCAR fan, a fan of all sports, he loved everything outdoors, mushroom hunting, game hunting, and gardening.
Richard is survived by his wife Sally Balser, and children, Jason (Amanda) Balser of Chalmers, Kim (Eric Oliver) Mann of Remington, Chuck (Rebecca) Adams of Lafayette, and Richy (Krystal) Balser of Lafayette. He is also survived by nine grandchildren Dakota, Desiree, Junior, Jaden, Riannon, Avery, Tyler, Jacob, and Madison and one great grandchild, Kaden. He is survived by his sister Cindy Bob (Scot) Fox of Lafayette, Mike (Jetta) Balser of Lafayette, Jerry (Celeste) Balser of Casselberry, FL, David (Sheri) Balser Lafayette, and Keith Balser of West Lafayette.
Richard was preceded in death by his sister Sue Hart (Battleground.)
Funeral services will be held at the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 3631 N Morehouse Rd in West Lafayette on Wednesday, June 14,2023 at 2:00pm. Friends may call from noon and 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions in memory of Richard may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
