Linda Gail (Johnson) Brinson, 75, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on February 7, 2024 at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on February 22, 1948 Evarts, Kentucky to the late Walter E. and Pearly Mae (Lunsford) Johnson and was one of seven children. Linda worked in the food preparation department for several years. She was a devoted caregiver to all of her family and friends. She was very generous but she also liked to play lady luck by playing lottery tickets. A wonderful cook, Linda would make favorite and memorable dishes for her family. She was also a sucker for anything Disney. Epically “It’s a small world” attraction. She also loved her dachshund and anything Angels. She will be greatly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and dear friend.
Linda is survived by her sons; David Wynn, Morgan Wynn and daughter Patricia Mitchell all of Lafayette, Indiana, step-sons David Brinson of Lafayette, Doug Brinson of Lafayette and step-daughter Belinda King of Lafayette, Indiana, sisters; Glenda Ellison of Delphi, Indiana, Wanda Kostek (Troy) of North Carolina, 3 brothers; Hayward Johnson of Delphi, Indiana, Walter Johnson of Delphi, Indiana and Herbert Johnson (Roberta) of Delphi, Indiana, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by her spouse, Charles Brinson, daughter Melinda Sue Greeno, step-daughter Anna Duncan and brothers Norman and Larry Johnson and grandson William Dale Greeno. William had severe cerebral palsy and Linda took care of him until he
passed in 2015. He was her purpose for life. Linda’s services will be held in private.
