Janice Elizabeth (Stewart) Scheibe, 84, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her home in Lafayette, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 1, 1939, to the late Roger Vernon Stewart and Laura (Pankow) Stewart of Willow Springs, IL.
Jan was a lover of dogs. She was a dog breeder for many years. She enjoyed making crafts and collecting antiques. She will be missed as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend.
She is survived by her son, Roger Scheibe (Christine) of Lafayette, IN, 5 grandchildren; Chelsie Beaman (Curt) of Lafayette, Hannah Olson (Mike) of Brownsburg, IN, Micah Scheibe (Kilee) of Redding, CA, Josiah Scheibe of Lafayette and Keon Scheibe of Lafayette. 5 great grandchildren; Lyllian Beaman, Kaelyn Beaman, Colten Beaman, Jase Olson and Rylan Olson. In addition to her parents, Janice was predeceased by her husband Durbin C. Scheibe. She has one brother Tom Stewart (Diane) of Countryside, IL and her loyal dog Allie.
