Hazel Faye Reed

Hazel Faye Reed, 93 formerly of Marion and The Waters of Wabash East in Wabash, IN, peacefully entered heaven on December 14,2023. She was born in Kokomo on April 14,1930.
On December 31,1964 she was lovingly married to Robert E. Reed. Hazel was employed in banking for numerous years and upon retirement, she and Robert moved to Sebring, FL; enjoying the sunshine. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, shopping, playing bingo and listening to gospel music. Hazel was a member of Grace Community Church in Marion. Robert preceded her in death on July 6, 2018 after 53 years together.
Hazel is survived by a daughter LuAnn (Michael) Scanlon of Indianapolis; stepdaughters Robin J. Reed of Marion and Terri L. Reed of Fort Wayne; daughter-in-law Robin A. (Steven L.) Johnson of VanBuren; granddaughter Dr. Kelly E. (MJ) Klinker of Fort Wayne, and several grand and greatgrandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and brother-in-law John Elofson.
She was preceded in death by her sons Steven L. Johnson and Brian S. Johnson, her sister Bertha M. Elofson, and brother John Wolfe.
The family also extends heartfelt appreciation to special nieces Rhonda McGown and Sharon Spence. Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday December 20,2023 at the Chapel of Serenity at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 11201 S Marion Road 35 Marion, IN. Pastor Tom Mansbarger will officiate and entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church of Marion, IN.
