Charles “Chuck” Franklin Angstadt, 91, passed away on Saturday morning, October 7, 2023, at
the home of his youngest son in Cantonment, FL. Born on August 26, 1932, in Attica, IN, to the
late William and Lena Mae (Butts) Angstadt, Chuck lived most of his life in the Shadeland,
greater Lafayette, Battle Ground, and Monticello, IN areas.

Chuck graduated from Shadeland High School in 1951 where he was a basketball player. He
worked in construction most of his life at places such as National Homes and White Oaks
Resort, retiring in the early 2000’s. Chuck came out of retirement in his early 80’s to serve as a
security guard at Magnetation in Reynolds, IN, which he greatly enjoyed.
Chuck will be buried beside his beloved wife, Jacqueline (Christie) Angstadt, who preceded him
in death on November 22, 2021.

Chuck enjoyed being outside whether fishing, caring for his horses, or just watching nature. An
avid crossword puzzle enthusiast and newspaper reader, Chuck also loved to watch NASCAR
races, old westerns and mystery series. He was most competitive when playing euchre.
Surviving family members include sons, Jay (Barbara) Angstadt of Cantonment, FL, and Scott
(Dianne) Bell of Port St. Lucie, FL, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as
well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by all 13 of his
siblings:

Fern Angstadt, William Angstadt, Donnie Angstadt, Nelson Martin, Kenny Kirts, Gene Kirts,
Ramona Borders, Waneta Swinford, Donna Synesael, Lucille Rice, Barbara Kirts, Jesse
Stinebaugh, and Eunice Kirts. He was also preceded in death by one stepson, Jack Bell, and
one granddaughter, Amanda Angstadt.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the funeral chapel
at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 3631 Morehouse Road, West Lafayette, IN. Internment will
follow immediately thereafter.
