Donna Kelly, 86, passed away from the loving arms of her family on Monday, March 18, 2024.
Donna was born on February 16, 1938, the daughter of Walter and Mary Koning. Her compassionate nature was evident from a young age, earning her the reputation of a natural-born caretaker. This quality guided her throughout her life and career, culminating in a fulfilling fifteen-year tenure as a CNA before retirement.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Donna found joy in simple pleasures. In her younger years, loved bowling. An avid collector, Donna had a passion for dolls and antiques. She would often drag Kim along with her to explore antique shops, yard sales, and estate sales in search of treasured finds.
Donna is survived by her daughter and best friend, Kim (Kevin) Bishop; brother, Richard (Susan) Koning; three grandsons, Tyler, Gage, and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Kelly; parents; and brothers, Robert Koning and David Lee Koning.
Family and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2024 at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 3631 Morehouse Road, West Lafayette.
