William Gerald Sargent, 82 of West Lafayette passed away Saturday December 22nd at 2:05 pm at his residence. He was born October 16,1936 at Danville, IL to the late Gerald William and Marie Potter Sargent. On January 26,1976 at Williamsport he married Darla Rae Spears, who preceded him in death on May 3,2007. William was a welder for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad.
Surviving are his daughters Dena Sargent of West Lafayette, Debbie (Jim) Cary of AZ, Denice Cuebas of Lafayette and sons Randy (Linda) Sargent of MI, Greg Sargent of Utah. Grandchildren Shanna Bush of New York, Cagney Stein of Lafayette, Chastity Brown of Georgia, Natasha Jackson of Attica, Larissa and Shania Lucas of Williamsport. Justus Lucas of Williamsport, and a multitude of other grand and great-grandchildren, one niece and 4 nephews. He was preceded in death by a son in law Victor Cuebas and a grandson John Bush.
In keeping with his wishes there will be no services.
