A wonderful man of God, with a terrific positive mental attitude and compassion for others. In jest…..but truth…Roger had a memory like no other. He was like a telephone book with addresses and phone numbers. A gift from God! YES…Roger was.

Roger Neal Holt, 74 of Lafayette passed away at 11:43 am Thursday December 16,2021 at IU Arnett
Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in Scottsdale Kentucky to the late Viola Irene Brooks Knight. Roger
resided in Lafayette for approximately 70 years. Roger was the Indiana/North District Sales Coordinator
for Aflac – where he won various awards for achievements in sales. He was a member of the Victory
Christian Center Church of Lafayette. He was a longtime fan of Purdue University athletics and also the
Chicago Cubs.
Roger is survived by his son Ryan Holt of Lafayette, stepdaughter Erin (Ryan) Albu of Minneapolis, MN
and stepson Bo (Delaine) Dillon of Denver, CO also surviving are his step brothers and sisters, Randy
(Mary) Bushman, Stanley (Christine) Knight, Cheryl (Richard) Hawkins, and Annette (Douglas) Moore of
Lafayette. A niece Christina (Aaron) Campbell of Lafayette also survives. He was preceded in death by his
sister Brenda VanFleet.
A celebration of Roger’s life will be held at 11am on Thursday December 23, 2021 at Victory Christian
Center. The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of services.
