Robert Spencer Skees, 85, went to be with his Lord at 4:09 PM, on February 19, 2023. Robert was born on August 18, 1937, to Sylvester Vernie and Elizabeth Mae (Chenault) Skees in Sonora, Kentucky. Robert worked and retired from TRW after 32 years of service as a machine operator. He was a member of St. Ann Church and Shrine, he enjoyed bowling with his retired buddies from TRW, visiting Kentucky and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his five children; Barbara Land (Dick), Richard Skees, Gary Skees (Brenda), Cindy Smith, Charles Skees, sister Rose Hornback, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Visitation for Robert is scheduled for Monday, February 27th from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at St. Ann Church and Shrine, 612 Wabash Avenue, Lafayette, Indiana 47905. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow beginning at 11:30 AM at St. Ann Church and Shrine with Robert’s place of rest at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
