Ricky M. Downs, 51 of Indianapolis passed away at 5:41 pm on Thursday October 29,2020 at Community
East Hospital in Indianapolis following a short illness. He was born May 3,1969 in Lafayette to the late
Richard M and Kathleen Barnett Downs. Rick worked in general construction in Indianapolis. He had
served with the Indiana National Guard. Rick loved animals especially his dogs.
He is survived his sisters Kimberly Prall (Sherman Shackelford) of West Lafayette, Crystal Shackelford(Steven Shackelford)
of Indianapolis, Robin Schineidt(Roger Schineidt) of West Lafayette, 1 niece, 7 nephews, 3 great nieces and 1 great
nephew.
Services will be at 2pm Monday November 9 th in the Chapel of Faith at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens,
friends may call from 1pm to time of services, burial will follow. Memorial contributions may be made
to the local animal shelter of your choice.
TMG Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
