Paul Thomas Carpenter, 53, of Marion, IN, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2022. He was born at Marion General Hospital in Marion, IN, on June 27, 1968, to Loren Thomas Carpenter and Viola Rosezella (Goens) Carpenter, who survives. After completing his education, Paul was self-employed as a laborer, assisting others however he could. He would lay gravel, put up drywalls or any other task that needed done. Along with helping others, Paul had many joys in life, he loved being in nature and would enjoy days walking in and along creeks looking for treasures, fishing, as well as spending time with his family including his dog and sidekick, “Intae”.
In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his daughters, Heather Chasteen and Melissa Carpenter; son, Jason (Danielle) Carpenter; stepchildren, Virginia Johnson and Amber Chasteen; grandchildren, Quiana Chasteen, Liam Carpenter, KyLynn Carpenter, Isaiah Carpenter, Robert Carpenter, and Melissa Carpenter; as well as many additional grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews whom he all loved very much. Paul was also survived by his brothers, Anthony Marsee and Timothy Marsee; sister, Penny Martin; and his fiancé, Tara L. Nicodemus, and her son.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Pammy Jane Marsee; and his brother, Danny Wayne Marsee.
Services for Paul will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Gardens of Memory, 11201 S Marion Road 35, Marion, IN 46952. Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Interment to follow at Gardens of Memory. Online condolences can be left to the family at www.tippecanoememorygardens.com.
