Norma “Jean” Davis, 94, of Lafayette, passed away on November 7, 2022. Jean was the youngest of five children born to Russell Keller and Jessie Grile Keller on July 13, 1928, near Bryant. As a girl, she was active in 4-H and the youth group at Bryant Methodist Church. She used her RN degree from Ball Memorial School of Nursing to serve at Jay County Hospital, Riley Children’s Hospital, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Jean was an active member of Congress Street United Methodist Church for 65+ years, preparing funeral meals and sewing school bags for Operation Classroom. She and her husband, Truman E. Davis, made several mission trips to Frakes, KY.

Jean is survived by her three children, Adrienne Davis of Lafayette, IN, Thomas Davis (Mary) of Champaign, IL, and Todd Davis (Karen) of Indianapolis, IN; granddaughter Beth Smith; great grandchildren Gage Smith, Aden Smith, and Ava Smith of Champaign, IL; and sister Anna Shoemaker of Muncie, IN. She was preceded in death by brothers 1st Lt. Dorwin Keller and Ernest Keller, sister Lavaun Muth, and husband Truman Davis.

Funeral services will be at noon on Monday, November 14, 2022, in the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Congress Street United Methodist Church, Lafayette. Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
