Nora Lena Glass Weller-Painter

Nora Lena Glass Weller-Painter of Marion IN passed away on 11/4/2022 at Indiana Veterans Home in
Lafyette. She was born to Clarence and Martha Glass on January 13, 1928, in Red Jacket West Virginia.
She spent her childhood in Hitchens Kentucky and moved to Marion Indiana in 1954
She was most known for her charity and love of family. She was owner of Weller’s Dry cleaners in
Marion until her retirement. After retirement she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with family.
Every year she was excited to start planning for Christmas, especially making candy which she shared
wherever she could. She did not know anyone that was not a friend.
Nora was preceded in death by her Parents, Brothers and Sisters and her two very best Friends Rita
Taylor and Betty Hobson. She was Widowed by Dewey Weller and James Painter. Although she had no
children of her own, she always had an open door to anyone in need of Motherly advice and guidance,
especially her Nieces and Nephews. That Maternal Love only grew with the addition of Great and Great-
Great Nieces and Nephews of which she had many.
Nora’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at the Indiana Veteran’s Home,
Southern Care Hospice Team, and Tippecanoe Funeral Services. Per Nora’s request graveside services
will be held on Thursday November 10,2022 at 9:00am at Veterans National Cemetery Marion IN with
Chaplin James Steffan Officiating.
