Mary Mildred Hawkins, 79 of Lafayette passed away at 5:37 pm Monday February 7, 2022 at St.
Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette. She was born September 17.1942.
Her marriage was in 1960 at Lafayette to Gerald B. Hawkins who preceded her in death. Mary was a
worker in the lunchroom with Lafayette School Corporation. After retiring she served as a volunteer for
the school corporation. Mary loved to help others and love spending time with her grandchildren and
great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Tammy Landon of Indianpolis, and sons Gerald
Hawkins Jr and William Hawkins of Lafayette, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving
is a sister Shirley Hawkins of Lafayette and a brother George Doyle of Lafayette. She was preceded in
death by a sister Lois and two sons.
Private family services will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lafayette, IN. TMG Funeral &
Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the
