Mario A. Davit, 82 of Lafayette passed away Sunday November 13, 2022 at his residence.  He was born September 22, 1940 in Fanna, Italy to the late Dante and Santa DeCecco Davit.  He was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.  He served with the US Army from 1961 to 1966.  He married Benvenuta Narduzzo on March 19, 1966 in Omaha, NE and she survives.  Mario was a terrazzo finisher and member of the brick layers union.  He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lafayette, American Legion Post 11, and the 40 & 8.  Mario loved camping and spending time with his family.

Surviving with his beloved wife of 56 years, are his children Anthony (Maryann) Davit of Orlando, FL, Anna (Jason) Scott of Thorntown, IN, Christina (Steven) Stover of Brownsburg, IN, and John (Crystal) Davit of Lafayette, IN,  sisters in law Ilse Davit of Lafayette and Velia Narduzzo of Papillion, NE, grandchildren Kathryn (Hunter) Love of Oklahoma City, OK, Emily Davit of Orlando, FL, Cameron Beck of Carmel, Paige Stover of Brownsburg, Lucas Scott of Thorntown, Ethan Stover of Brownsburg, Abigail Scott of Thorntown, Vincent Davit of Lafayette, Liliana Davit of Lafayette and Evelyn Davit of Lafayette.  He was preceded in death by a proceeded in death by infant daughter, Mary Davit; and brother, Domenico Davit.

Funeral services will be at 11am on Friday November 18, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis O’Keeffe officiating.  Family and friends may visit from 10am until the time of service.  Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with Military Rites by the US Army and American Legion Post 11.  Memorial contributions may be made to Matthew 25 Soup Kitchen.  The family gratefully acknowledges and appreciates the care provided by Franciscan Hospice and Comfort Keepers.
