I extend my condolences to you all in your loss of a friend and family. I was a friends of hers since 2012 and she has been an excellent friend of mine. I pray for peace and comfort for those who’re mourning. Requiescat in pace, Maria, and thank you for being my friend. I’ll see you on the other side.
Maria Del Carmen Vasquez Douglass, 54 of Lafayette passed away Monday March 20,2023 at St.
Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born June 12,1968 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to the late Maria
Vasquez. Maria received her master’s in chemistry in New York. On April 10, 2021, in Lafayette she
married Don Duane Douglass and he survives. Maria was a home healthcare provider.
A celebration of Maria’s life is being planned for a future date.
