Lee Roy Klinger, born August 6, 1949 in Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on May 28, 2021.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn S. (Bechtold) Klinger and his six children: Lisa M. Klinger of Paris, TX, Scott M. Klinger of Lafayette, IN, Kristina L. (Robbins) Wing of Lakeland, FL, Stuart J. Robbins (wife Katherine) of Crawfordsville, IN, Nikki (Martin) Ritz and husband Rob of Indianapolis, IN, Katherine A. (Klinger) DeVreese and husband Heath of Lafayette, IN.  Also surviving are his eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and brother Robert Klinger (wife Pamela) of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, John G. and Viola M. Klinger.

Lee and Marilyn were married on July 8, 1983. Lee was an Assistant Secretary and manager of Home Office Services for Lafayette Life Insurance Co. He retired after 37 years of service (1968-2005) and went on to work at Sam’s Club for eleven years. Lee served in the US Military, Unit 209 of the Army Reserves, from December of 1968 until December of 1974.  He had a passion for golfing, gardening, gadgets, and serving others.  He was a beloved soccer coach and was very active in his church Victory Christian Center of which he had been a member since 2004.

Visitation is too be held at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Chapel of Faith starting at 12:30 on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Services will begin at 1:00pm with military honors to follow at 1:30pm.

Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting with the arrangements.
