Sending prayers and condolences from the Cecilia Harrington Johnson, daughter of Robert and Virginia Harrington and husband Jerry Johnson (you might remember him from Vinton Elementary) I remember you all from First Christian Church and how kind your mother was. My parents passed away many years ago. So happy you had your mother with you for so long. Sending you blessings and God’s peace.

Juanita Kinneer, 94 of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on October 30, 2021 surrounded by her family. Juanita was born in Clay City, Indiana and was the daughter of Kenneth and Mildred Schafer. She was married to Gerald Kinneer for 71 years who preceded her in death. During WWII, Juanita and her girl friends worked at various jobs in the Indianapolis area including manufacturing plants devoted to the war effort. After the war, she met Gerald and became a homemaker who devoted her life to her family and friends. Juanita was always the woman her lady friends could come to for advice and guidance. After Gerald retired, they moved to Santa Claus, Indiana where they enjoyed living on Christmas Lake in Christmas Lake Village. They later moved to Greenwood to be closer to their children. Juanita was a long-time, active member of First Christian Church in Lafayette. Juanita and Gerald were the loving parents of three children, Kathy (Steve) Hershberger of Greenwood, Indiana; Gary (Linda) Kinneer of Howell, Michigan, and Ken Kinneer of Greenwood. Also surviving are her sister, Joy Francis, Hemlock Michigan; and grandchildren, Matt (Ashley) Kinneer, Alex (Priya) Kinneer, Elizabeth  (Tim) Laba, Sarah Kinneer, Amanda (Sean) Thomas; step-grandchildren, Angela (Emilio) Zapata and Philip Hershberger; eight great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
