Joshua Glenn Crain, 38, of Lafayette, passed away at his home on June 21, 2021. Josh was born in Lafayette on July 24th, 1982 to Robert Leroy Crain and Brenda Kay (Hinckley) Charlesworth. Josh grew up in the Lafayette area. He graduated from Benton Central High School in 2001, and served in the US Army from 2002 to 2004.
Josh had a love for music and was also known as “Tony Haze”. Josh loved to fish. He loved to grill and was very proud of his smoked meat. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He could make just about anyone smile and laugh with his great wit. Josh was always the life of the party!
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crain; his grandparents, George and Eileen Crain and Gordon and June Hinckley; as well as his nephew, Jameson Crain.
Josh is survived by his mother, Brenda (Ivan) Charlesworth of West Lafayette; his sister, Lisa of Fowler; his brothers, Jason (Miriam) of Kokomo, Jared (Carly) of Lafayette, and James (Hannah) of Otterbein; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Unfortunately, when Josh returned from Iraq, he just wasn’t the same person. While he tried to hide it, he suffered from PTSD and it ultimately took its toll on him.
Private services for Joshua will be held at a later date.
