Joellen Kay (Brandon) Lee, 64, of West Lafayette, IN, passed away August 24, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 2, 1958 in Lafayette, IN to the late William Brandon and Marjorie (Corbett) Brandon. After completing her education, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in music, she worked for much of her life as a music instructor; teaching students how to play a variety of different reed instruments over the years at St. Boniface, St. Mary’s, and St. Lawrence Catholic Schools music programs. She also enjoyed her work in food service, catering to St. Elizabeth Hospital as well as other establishments. On April 28, 1990, she married the love of her life, Dennis Lee, spending the next 32 years by each other’s side. Joellen loved playing her oboe, sharing her music with students, crocheting, spending time with family and her dogs, and was the official taste tester for her sister-in-law’s, Jo Etta’s dishes. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, and friend, who will be missed by all the lives she touched.

Joellen is survived by her husband, Dennis Lee; mother, Marjorie Brandon; sisters, Carol Spiegl, and Maureen (Rick) Brandon-Foster; sister-in-law, Jo Etta Walters; niece, Mallory (Brannon) Newth; nephews, Jason Walters, Ryan (Derrin) Walters, Brent (Sarah) Walters; several great-nieces and nephews; as well as her three dogs, Hugo, Sheba, and Indy. She was preceded in death by her father, William Brandon.

Services for Joellen will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel at Tippecanoe Funeral & Cremations Services funeral chapel, in West Lafayette IN; with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., prior to service. Burial to follow services at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
