Jahsmyne Demerae Zech passed away peacefully in her home on Friday May 21, 2021 at 3:37 PM. Jahsmyne was born on January 18, 1992 to Sheila Marie McMillan and Stanley Gene Smith Jr.  Jahsmyne was artistically inclined. Jahs was an avid book reader and especially enjoyed the Harry Potter series.  She also enjoyed cooking, especially baking, and was also a passionate movie lover and loved watching crime dramas.  

  Jahsmyne graduated from Owosso High School, in Michigan, 2011. That same year Jahs found the love of her life Joshua Zech.  Jahs spent the next several years molding Joshua into a blockbuster trilogy movie fan and a “Harry Potter Head’.  The two of them spent the next several years growing their beautiful family and were blessed with 3 healthy children.  Josh and Jahs were married on December 18, 2018 in a loving ceremony in Michigan.

Jahsmyne is survived by her husband Joshua Zech of Lafayette, children Maddison, Benjamin, and Lukas; mother Sheila & father Matt Goodwin of Lafayette; father Stanley Smith Jr of Mason, MI;  Siblings-Michael (Kelsie) Goodwin of Royal Oak, MI; Kruz Smith of DeWitt, MI; Corey Tyler of Lafayette, IN; Tristan Smith of DeWitt, MI; Crisalynn Swanson of Maplewood, MN; Aereianah Smith of Wyoming, MN; Daemii Smith of Wyoming, MN; Michael Zech of Lansing, MI; Sarah Donley of Lansing, MI; Spencer Donley of Lansing, MI; Rikki Avery of St. John, MI; Michael Pickell of St. John, MI; and Mother in law Tanaya (Ray)Donley of Lansing,MI. father-in-law, Timothy Pickell of Arizona.  Jahsmyne is all survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Visitation is to be held at 2PM on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the American Legion Post 11 located at: 1801 S 9th St, Lafayette, IN 47905. Services are to immediately follow at 3PM. 

Tippecanoe Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting with the arrangements.
