Jack Nelson Massey, Jr

Jack Nelson Massey, Jr., 67, passed away at his family home in Lafayette, IN on September 5, 2021. Jack was born May 9, 1954 in Lafayette, IN, to the late Jack Nelson Massey, Sr. and Barbara Alice (Slaughterbeck) Massey. After completing his education, Jack became a lifetime employee of SIA – Subaru Auto Plant. During his 30 year tenure with SIA, Jack worked a multitude of positions before retiring as Team Leader 2 years ago. Jack had many joys in life, including working on automobiles, bowling, and listening to a wide range of music. Jack was at his happiest when he was working with his hands – gardening, tending to his lawn, building houses, and completing his work woodworking projects. However, his greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family and friends, whose lives will be emptier without his presence.

Surviving Jack are his two sons and their families: Jason and Heather Massey with their daughters, Gabrielle and Alexis; and Jared and Sara Massey, with their daughter, Jade and son Jonah; his brother and his family: James and Janice Massey, with their daughter, Erin; and his long-time partner and friend: Kandy Massey, with her family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation for Jack will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel with funeral services to follow immediately thereafter at the chapel.
