Freda Catheryn Corson 97 West Point

Freda Catheryn Corson, 97, of West Point went to be with the Lord on December 30,2018 after celebrating her 97th birthday in February.  Freda had been residing in the Legacy Unit at White Oaks in Monticello, IN.

Life began on February 24,1921 at Gifford, IL with her father and Mother John and Venner Tash, who predeceased her, along with her infant daughter, Patricia, also her sisters Martha Martin, Marie Grein, and Hilda Dixon, and two brothers Bob and John Tash.

A handsome farmer, Robert Corson, married her on February 14,1943.  He took her from being secretary at the purchasing dept of University of IL and moved to West Point, IN. Freda is now happily reunited with her hubby in heaven.

Survivors are her son Roger (Juanita) Corson of Monticello. Two adored grandchildren who called her Grama C: Melissa (Dale) Watson of Winneconne, WI and Rodney (Doralyn<Dee>) Corson of Mahomet, IL.  Freda also had great affection for her four great-grandchildren: Baylee Watson, Logan Watson, Shauna Corson and Rachel Corson. Freda also has three great-great grandchildren AnShan White, Taylor White and Kenliegh Ford.

Freda loved company but, was never ready for them. Once you were in her presence, her gift of hospitality overflowed in her, generosity, and quiet faith in our almighty God. Her friendliness flowed during her 30 years volunteering job at Home Hospital greeting and delivering mail all over the hospital.
