Eric, I know I didn’t know you very well, but you were my cousin nonetheless. I hope you’re at peace, and feel the deep love your family has for you. We all love you.

Eric, I know we were not close as cousins later in life, but I was sad to hear of your passing. I can remember the first time I saw you as a baby when your Mom and Dad first brought you home. You were a very devoted son and grandson to Diane and Grandma Clark who would always talk about you with smiles on their faces. I have many fond memories of us as kids spending holidays together at Grandmas house, getting into trouble and climbing the apple tree in Grandmas back yard. My condolences to all family members and friends who knew him best. Gone way too young, you will be missed cuz.

Dear Eric, as your home care taker, and developed friendship over the years, I’m shaken by your sudden departure. Not aware, I stopped by your home on our scheduled monthly care visit. Pulled to your garage, unloaded supplies, and went to ring the back bell as always. The door patched up, bell missing, no prompt answer… Felt like yesterday we spoke. Chatting well too much every visit; going over scheduled time, like I cared, shhhh, obviously. Always laughter, mentions of visiting family home or away. Damn you could destroy a kitchen, and I could make it sparkle!! Haaa, we laughed about that too. Absolutely taken back that we’ll no longer greet one another each month. I’ll miss the loud bass system blaring (laughing in an adjacent room). Thinking about your kitty, trusting she is loved and cared for by family. Hope they have room for the endless toys, window hammock, oh my, you loved your new addition, a lot! Hugs Eric. Missed you are.

Eric Jon Hayward, 46, passed away at his home on December 22, 2021, in Lafayette, IN.
