Donna Jean Gray

Donna Jean Gray, 66, of Lafayette, IN passed away on June 5, 2021, at 8:13 PM after heroically saving her granddaughter from drowning in the Wildcat Creek. She was born in Rensselaer, IN on March 19, 1955, to the late Calvin Laffoon and Geraldine Duever. Donna was a graduate of the Twin Lakes Highschool Indians graduating class of 1973 and most recently worked as a package handler for the local Fed Ex warehouse.

Donna-first and foremost-loved her family and friends. She was a kindhearted individual who saw the best in everyone she encountered. Donna most enjoyed spending time with her family, friends & pets, listening to live music & dancing, trips to the beach, gardening and being out in nature.

Donna is survived by her daughters: Nova (Jason Latta) Sizemore of Monon, IN; Dana Sizemore of Carrollton, GA; Sara Six of Manhattan, Kansas; Tiffany (Matthew Johnson) Sizemore of Lafayette, IN. Grandchildren: Marissa Hook, Austin Hook, Cayden Latta, Bryce McNulty, Haylee Six, Alana Johnson. Brother: Dennis Laffoon of Fort Wayne, IN. Sisters: Carol (Terry) Foreman of Nyona Lake, IN, Tabby (Ed) Kohley of Monticello, IN, Melissa (Shawn) Downey of Monticello, IN, Tanya (Kenny) Hardebeck of Monticello, IN. Brothers-in-law: Chris Gray & Jon (Angie) Gray of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by husband Stephen Gray, her parents, sister Deborah Robinson, sister-in-law Brenda Laffoon.

Visitation is to be held at the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel on June 15, 2021, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Services are to immediately follow at 12:00.

It was Donnas wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of donations to help her daughter, Tiffany, through this very trying time.
