Donna Clare Whaley, 91 of Lafayette, passed away at her residence in Lafayette at 7 am on Friday February 4,2022. She was born September 1,1930 at Danville, IL to the late Clare and Bernice Barragree Regan. Her marriage was November 24,1948 at Lafayette to Leslie Abner Whaley, he preceded her in death March 6,2016. She was an administrative assistant at Purdue University Biological Sciences until her retirement. Donna was a member of the Oxford Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children Denise VanLaere of Lafayette and Leslie C. (Damaris) Whaley of Lafayette, grandchildren David (Brenna) Whaley of Lafayette, Sarah (Kevin) Harmon of Lafayette, Joshua (Krystal) VanLaere Sr. of Lafayette, Stephanie (Bryan) Miller of Lafayette and Troy (Aubrey) Whaley of West Lafayette, 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Wednesday February 9,2022 in the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens with Pastor Larry McMillan officiating. Entombment will follow. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday February 8,2022 at the funeral chapel.
