Deloris Etta Douglas, 81, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully on March 16th at her home. Deloris was
born on July 14th 1940 to Floyd and Lucy (Bowen) Weber. Deloris married Basil on January 1st 1960.
Deloris was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Deloris is
a Gold Star mother to her son Daniel Douglas.
Deloris is survived by her daughter, Dana Sibray (Douglas) of Lafayette. Daughter-in-law, Leofe
Douglas (Villanueva) of Brookston. Five grandchildren: Ron and Brandy Pierce (Sibray) of Lafayette,
Jeremy and Emily Ritter (Sibray) of Lafayette, Dalton and Jennifer Douglas of Brookston, Aubrey
Douglas of Brookston, and Dylan Douglas of Brookston. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren
and other family members. She was preceded in death by her Parents Lucy and Floyd Weber,
husband Basil Douglas (1936-2016), and Her son Daniel Douglas (1964-2010).
Deloris was a dedicated family woman who cared for a lot of people and children. She loved going to
church every Sunday at Evangelical Covent Church. She loved being apart of the nursery on Sundays
and vacation bible school. She loved new adventures with her family. She was a decorated RN for 30
years at Home Hospital. She was part of the Red Hat Society for 10 years and also sold Avon for 15
years. She loved to garden in her free time.

A celebration of Deloris’ life will be held at 2pm Sunday March 20, 2022. Friends may call from 1pm to 2pm in the funeral chapel at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
