Barbara Jane Mussche

Barbara Jane Mussche, 90, of Lafayette, passed away at her home on Friday, October 7, 2022. She was born April 8, 1932 in Lafayette, IN, to the late Robert Lee Hoskins and Margaret Lucille (Bennett) Hoskins. After completing her education, graduating from Jefferson High school, Barbara worked as a food service staff member at Purdue University as well as a homemaker. She married Howard D. Mussche on July 17, 1959. They spent 34 years together, prior to his passing in 1993. Barbara was known to be an animal-lover, who enjoyed knitting, word searches, and playing card games. However her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family, who will miss her very much.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Carolyn (Ed) Phebus and her children; Roger (Linda) Mussche, Larry Mussche, and Jody (Fred) Winter; grandchildren, Angela Mussche, Amanda (Ian) Miller, Alisha (Casey) Brown, Jynsen Mussche, Alex Winter, and Delaney Winter; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 1:00pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 1005 N. 21 st Street in Lafayette, followed immediately at 2:00pm with a funeral service. Officiants will be Deaconesses Jody Winter and Nita Cunningham. All are invited to join the family for stories and memories after the service at the homestead. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church,
