Yvonne Mack was born on June 30th 1948 to Roosevelt Mack Sr. and Ora Lee Curtis in Indianola, Mississippi. Yvonne was raised in Tarry Town and received her education at Froebel High School in Gary, Indiana. After her schooling, she worked with her sister (Barbara) as a die cutter and worked on advertising boards.
In her leisure, Yvonne loved to spend time with her family and study the word of God. Known as “The Mother of the Church” mother Yvonne served as a faithful member of the Whole Truth Gospel Church of Faith And Holiness, where she touched the lives of many and truly loved the Lord.
Yvonne was a selfless soul. Her love for the Lord was evident though her love for others. She welcomed all who came to her in need without hesitation. In all circumstances she gave thanks and praise and utilized her God given gift to lift up others.
God blessed our lives with an angel and called her home on March 22, 2023. Yvonne was preceded in home going by her loving father, Roosevelt Mack, Mother Ora Lee Curtis, and beloved sisters Mary Hearn and Jane Mack. She leaves to cherish her memory 5 sisters, Barbara Taylor, Ora Wilson, Rachael Mack, Linda Jenkins, and Sarah Mack. Four brothers Roosevelt Mack Jr., David Mack, Marvin Mack, and Dale Mack, three sons, John Chavelle Mack, David Turner, and Anthony E. Mack, one daughter, Tamara Denise Gladney, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
Yvonne was a beacon of light and love for so many. Her light will never dim and her love will last forevermore.
